    Microdosing

Microdosing with mushrooms refers to the practice of taking very small, consistently scheduled sub-threshold doses of the psychoactive substance, psilocybin.  These doses are typically one-tenth to one-twentieth of a standard recreational dose, though the perfect dose for an individual is dependent on many factors such as medication use (previous and current), general tolerance level, and the inclusion of supportive healing modalities (journaling, meditation, breathwork, etc).  Microdoses are not intended to produce alterations in perception or consciousness, meaning the individual should feel nothing except for improved overall wellness and mood, reduced anxiety, enhanced creativity and increased focus.

    Mini-Dosing

Mini-dosing or "recreational" dosing refers to taking a perceptual dose that will result in some psychedelic effects.  Mini-dosing is intended to enhance situations, increase energy, boost creativity, and deepen connections to set and setting.  An example of this is seeing colors brighter, laughing more, and being fully immersed into a concert or music. This dose can also vary with individuals typically feeling these feelings from 500mg-2 grams.  Doses such as these do not typically follow a schedule, though some individuals find that higher doses less frequently is the key to reaching their goals.

    Macrodosing

Macrodosing or "transformational" dosing refers to taking a large hallucinogenic dose of about 2.5 grams or more.  With intention setting, doses such as these tap into your subconscious and help you facilitate large shifts, heal past traumas, and find deep connections to yourself and the world around you.  These experiences are typically reserved for special times when you want to jump start your own personal healing.   Set and setting is extremely important in the success of this method (being in the right mental and physical space). This experience is beautifully intense and worth the 4-6 hours of journeying, but it is recommended to have an experienced facilitator, or guide or a trusted companion with you.  Doses such as these do not typically follow a schedule, but require planning and intention for best results.
